A centrifugal chiller operates using electricity as its power source. In this system, Freon refrigerant evaporates in the evaporator, forming wet vapor. This vapor is then compressed by the compressor into a high-temperature, high-pressure gas. The gas subsequently flows through the water-cooled condenser, where it condenses back into liquid form. After passing through an expansion valve for throttling, the refrigerant recirculates into the evaporator. This continuous cycle produces chilled water at 7-12°C, which is then used for air conditioning in HVAC systems."
