Air Cooled Packaged Unit
GRAD Rooftop package unit (RTU) has a very wide range of products from 3RT to 200RT cooling capacity, and the cooling only, heat pump type and constant temperature & humidity type are avaliable based on different applications.
The working principle of a rooftop package unit (RTU) involves a single, self-contained system that conditions air in one central location and distributes it through ductwork. The unit is typically mounted on the building's roof for efficiency and space-saving. It performs both cooling and heating functions through a combination of the vapor-compression refrigeration cycle and a heating module.
GRAD rooftop air conditioners, with its high efficiency, intelligence, durability, and low noise, are widely used in various small-scale commercial systems, warehouse systems, and factory systems, making them your ideal air conditioning solution.
How RTUs Work
Rooftop packaged units are all-in-one HVAC systems installed on building rooftops, offering space-saving benefits and simplified maintenance access.
Key Operational Processes:
Cooling Cycle
Warm indoor air is drawn into the unit, passing over an evaporator coil where refrigerant absorbs heat.
The compressor pressurizes the refrigerant, increasing its temperature.
Hot refrigerant moves to the condenser coil, releasing heat outdoors.
The expansion valve reduces refrigerant pressure, restarting the cooling cycle.
Heating Function
Heat Pump Models: Reverse the refrigerant flow to extract ambient heat from outdoor air (even in cold weather).
Electric/Gas Heaters: Supplemental heating elements ensure performance in extreme conditions.
Air Distribution
Conditioned air is delivered through ductwork to maintain consistent indoor temperatures.
Main Applications:
1. Small Commercial Systems: Suitable for small to medium-sized commercial spaces, such as small offices and retail stores, providing efficient cooling and heating solutions.
2. Warehouse Systems: Suitable for warehouses of all sizes, ensuring goods are stored in suitable temperature and humidity environments, improving warehouse management efficiency.
3. Factory Systems: Suitable for various factory workshops, providing a stable temperature-controlled environment to ensure smooth production processes.
Technical Parameters:
1. Cooling Capacity: Cooling capacity is adjustable depending on the model to meet the needs of different locations.
2. Heating Capacity: Equipped with a high-efficiency heating system, suitable for temperature control during cold seasons.
3. Power Requirements: Multiple power supply configurations are available to adapt to different regional power conditions.
4. Installation Method: Rooftop installation saves indoor space and is easy to install.
