GRAD Contributes to the Construction of AU CDC Headquarters Phase I

Recently, in the southern suburbs of Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, Phase I of the AU CDC Headquarters project, aided by China, has been successfully roofed. The project is undertaken by China Railway Construction Corporation Limited and built by China Civil Engineering Group Co., Ltd., with GRAD supplying the ventilation products. On November 27, CCTV News reported on this important milestone.

Construction of Phase I began in December 2020, with a total floor area of 23,500 square meters. Upon completion, it will become Africa’s first disease control and prevention center equipped with modern office facilities and advanced laboratory conditions.

The project is a key initiative under the framework of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation and represents an important step toward building a closer China-Africa community with a shared future in the new era. Following the AU Headquarters building, it stands as another landmark of China-Africa friendship and cooperation, widely recognized as a new monument of this partnership. GRAD Group will continue to contribute its strength in support of China’s Belt and Road Initiative.
